    Property Summary

    plus icon

A fine example of an imposing period building dating back to 1855 and, as we understand, built by Edward Lloyd, who was the founder of NatWest.
The conversion took place circa 2012 to the highest specification, each apartment offers its own individuality and personality. There are fourteen apartments in total and Lillesden House (formerly Bedgebury Girls School) is situated in approximately 24 acres of grounds and woodlands. Accessed via an electric gated system with long gravel driveway, Lillesden House stands proud within the grounds. The main entrance and communal areas are offered to the highest standards with many character features, wide staircases and glasswork lend ample light to this decorative dwelling. An attractive benefit is the lift to each floor. Apartment 13, The Jemmett, offers flair and grandeur with high ceilings, large sash double glazed windows, chimney recesses, split level accommodation, with oak floors and contemporary bathroom and kitchen. A highly desirable property which offers sophistication yet with a friendly ambience. A most attractive feature - the building and turrets are bathed in exterior lighting at night, setting off the grandeur and elegance the Jemmett has to offer.

    Location
Hawkhurst is a large affluent village and civil parish in the borough of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England. The village is located close to the border with East Sussex, around 12 miles (19 km) south-east of Royal Tunbridge Wells, and within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hawkhurst itself is virtually two villages: The Moor, to the south, consists mainly of cottages clustered around a large triangular green, while Highgate, to the north, features a colonnade of independent shops, two country pubs, hotels, a digital cinema in a converted lecture hall, and Waitrose and Tesco supermarkets.
